Yellow-Orange Glory

The blue of the autumn sky
dazzles splendiferously above
glowing red
   bright or golden yellow
   yellow-orange glory
rustling in the breeze tree-torches
radiantly lit by the sun
the whole supreme scene
beauteous       inspiring
            and breath-taking

the rolling hillsides and roadways
munificently populated by
trunks upholding billowing leafy eiderdowns
blazing light blooms reaching into an azure firmament
that fall and float
 one leaf-petal             by one
   by   some                     and
  many
to blanket the receptive bountiful earth
and crunch swish crunch

beneath the Widow Wyile’s contented
            wandering feet           swish crunch
swish   skip     joyously kicking leaves
with singing heart
satisfied nose
and eyes aglow
