The Widow Wyile lives in an orange house
festooned with window boxes
bursting with zinnias
often nibbled
by Gorgeous
her goat
topped by a steep
sloped ultramarine tiled
gabled roof

inside   walls
seem made out of books
shelves and stacks
of them leaving
just enough room for a kitchen
her hearth
and her very own
goat bed*                   

Gorgeous of course
has her very own
aromatic shed
filled with golden
pallets
and summer sweet
bales
and an ornate
wooden water
trough

and in winter all this colour
is lusciously garbed
in dazzling
delightful
types of
snow
